Good Night Harry.

So I am not a huge fan of fantasy or sci-fi. And when I was in college Caitlyn went to see Lord of the Rings with some of her friends. My roommate and best friend Nick and I thought that was lame and obviously made fun of her about it. So she came over after the movie let out, but Nick and I had already gone to bed. (We shared a room in the apartment) Caitlyn came up to say goodnight and tell us how great the movie was and we started laughing at her. She started to leave and Nick and I began imitating the movie and in doing so confusing it with Harry Potter. As Caitlyn got annoyed and was going to leave Nick said, "Good night Froto."
I replied, "Good night Gandoff."
And Nick finished it off by yelling to Caitlyn, "Goodnight Harry" in his best english accent.
We laughed ourselves to sleep, but later after college I began reading the Harry Potter books and now really like them. So now I am just as much a loser as we thought Caitlyn was for going to see Lord of the Rings, but I am okay with that. So I have this ipod and decided to go online and request all of the Harry Potter books on CD from different libraries that had them, and put them onto my computer. Four of the seven books on CD were available at libraries across the state and they all came into the library yesterday. So today I am enjoying a snow day off of school and am burning all of the CD's to my computer so I can have them on my ipod. I am such a loser.

Ashleigh's generous friends

So my sister and her friends are incredibly generous. I found this out after I posted my fund raising page for the Trek Across Maine. I sent an email to some family and friends and the next day Ashleigh had donated the first 20 dollars. The next day I received an email saying that I received a donation from someone named Tara and she was not my sister-in-law. It was some girl who I did not know. Then I found out that my sister and forwarded the email I sent to all of her friends and they were donating. Now I have raised 170 dollars in a week and 110 of it is from my sister and her friends and even her friends sister- none of whom I have ever met. So this blog is meant as a informal thank you to my generous sister and her equally generous friends. And for those of you skilled in the art of math you may have noticed that I have 60 unmentioned dollars. This generous donation came from my fantastic in-laws. Thank you Bruce and Sharon. And even though this has nothing to do with this post- here is a picture of one of my friend Jolly's sheep.

By popular demand

Okay, okay, okay. I only have two comments from my first entry, but both have requested that I add some pics of the Fedora, so here she is. She is pretty damn cute, though Norm Abram and his Porter Cable plunge router aren't so bad either if you can appreciate a fine power tool.
So Caitlyn, Nora, Barkley, and I just came home from dinner at Sandra Jean Christine Nahorn Silver's house. (My aunt in case anyone reading this doesn't know.) We had a nice Nordic ski followed by Guinness and manacotti. I love going to Sandra Jean's. We are house sitting for her in April so she wants to get the dogs accustomed to each other.
Turns out Nora is the happiest kid on Earth. She was on Caitlyn's back for a snow shoe while we were skiing and she just laughed the whole time. She is ticklish under her chin now as well, so it is fun to make her squeal. Her solitary tooth is coming in nicely so it won't be long before she is eating steak, lobster, jerky, and anything else that is delicious and requires teeth. I know I am biased, but she is definitely the cutest thing I have ever seen.
Alright, well I have to spend some time preparing for class tomorrow and then off to bed so I can wake up for said class. Here is another Nora pic to close things up with.

Hello

So I don't know who will read this or what it will say, but I hope to use it to talk about whatever is going on whenever I am posting and basically make it a fun way to keep in touch with friends and family until I once again acquire a cell phone. It will undoubtedly be random and hopefully funny at times. I am not Norm Abram by the way as my blog picture would suggest. I knew I wanted to a random blog site, so while I was looking for a good picture on google image I typed in random and Norm was one of the pics on the first page. I do love Norm though- he is unreal. If it weren't for Red Green I'd say Norm has the best show going on PBS. (Wow, maybe I need cable back.) So anyway, enjoy the blog, post comments so I know I'm not just typing to myself, and have a great night. I am now off to bed so that I may get up tomorrow morning and mold young minds.
